Ways to make 20

100 Word Challenge

Look at all the clever writers in room 7!

17 children managed to publish their writing on their blogs and then upload it to the 100WC blog.

Genius Hour

On Friday we had our first Genius Hour. We got to choose want we wanted to learn or do for the afternoon.

We had a class full of bakers, designers, builders, artists and more!

Today on Wrap Free Wednesday we had 13/22 people wrap free. That is 59% and we had 31 wrappers. That's bad.
Next week we will try to get 100%.

Ashton "I am going to make sure I do not put any wraps in my lunch"
Debbie "I am going to try and not put any chips in my lunch box"
Aaron ''I am going to try to get less wraps everyday''
Titus "I am going to try not to put too many wraps in my lunchbox."

Writing

Today in writing we focused on proof-reading our writing.

First we had to read our writing to check it made sense. Then we read our writing to a buddy. Next we checked for full stops and capital letters and then underlined words to check.

Our goal is to proof-read our writing independently. 

What makes us unique?

Today we brainstormed what makes us unique. We then buddied up and used a venn diagram to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between us. 

Wrap free Wednesday

Today we had WFW. We had 13\21 children wrap free. We had 61 percent wrap free.

Movie Making

Aaron and Ashton were part of a movie making project in Term 2. They worked with Rebecca and Ben from room 14. The movie had to be about keeping safe while biking.

Hello Room 7! I hope you are having a great week with Mr Chell!

I am having an amazing time in Thailand. Here's a photo of the pool at my resort that leads straight to the beach! 

It's very hot here so we have been swimming in this pool and in the ocean a lot!
