A present for Mrs Natusch

This morning I gave Mrs Natusch a big present. It was a pumpkin! I carved Mrs Natusch's name on the pumpkin. I gave it to her for being a lovely teacher and so she can make pumpkin soup.

Our School Tabloids

Last Friday was our school tabloids.

We had a lot of fun taking part in different fun activities.
Here is a video of some of the activities. At the end is the class tug-of-war competitions and the parents verses teachers tug-of-war competition!

After our school tabloids we made a dot plot. We asked everyone in class which was their favourite activity. On our first dot plot we had just the seven activities and found out that parachute was the most favourite activity.

Then we added in the tug-of-war competition to see if it would change the data and it sure did! The tug-of-war was definitely the most popular activity in room 7 at our school tabloids.

The crosses on our graph are the activities we didn't like and would like to change for next year.

Our School

Here is a video of our school that Tegan and Zoe made for our quadblogging friends. They used imovie to put the photos and videos together.
Well done girls! You have done a great job!

What questions do you have for us about our school?

Wrap Free Wednesday

Today was our first Wrap Free Wednesday. We had to make sure that in our lunch boxes we didn't have many wraps around our food. Or we tried to be completely wrap free.

Today we had 46 wraps and 6 out of 22 children wrap free. That is 27 %.

We set ourselves a goal.  Next week we hope to only have 30 wraps or less. We hope that 10 of us, at least, are completely wrap free.

Swimming

Here is a video of some of us practicing our swimming skills. We are learning freestyle, backstroke, floating, gliding, sculling and the correct freestyle breathing technique.

Jandals? What are they?

Mrs Beetham teaches at Richard Taylor School. This school is in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK.
We are connecting with this school to learn more about each other and to  develop a positive connection.
Her class is called "Bishopdale" and they would like to know all about.....

Click here for the link to their post about jandals. I wonder if we can help them find out what jandals are?

Post a comment about why you LOVE jandals!
