Crystal Flower Experiment

Our questions about caves
Tomorrow we are going on an adventure to The Waitomo Caves.
Today we brainstormed some questions about caves and cave creatures.

- How does a glow-worms light work?
- What do glow-worms look like up close?
- What do stalagmites do when they reach the top of the cave?
- How long has Waitomo Caves been around for?
- How many years does it take to make a column?
- How deep is the water in the caves?
- What are caves made out of?
- Why are stalagmites and stalactites made in caves? why aren't they made anywhere else?
- Do glow-worms sleep?
- What do glow-worms eat?
- How long does it take for a cave to change shape?
- How do caves change shape?
We are hoping to answer all these questions when we get back from our trip! :)
